Sophia Goring-Piard



Sophia M. Goring-Piard is an attorney admitted to the Bars of the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  She primarily practices in the area of immigration and naturalization law. With over 10 years of experience in the field, she previously worked at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP a large corporate immigration law firm in New York City.  There, she managed a staff of paralegals and legal assistants in devising strategies and processes for the successful preparation and filing of high-volume nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based visa petitions on behalf of foreign national personnel for corporate employers, as well as naturalization applications, and re-entry permit appilcations.

She also provided counsel on the resolution of consular processing matters and advised corporate clients on the immigration impact of mergers and acquisitions.  Her current practice also includes representation of individual clients in deportation and removal proceedings, asylum, VAWA, Temporary Protected Status, and Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions.  She is a  graduate of Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri (Bachelor's degree) and Fordham University School of Law, New York, New York (Juris Doctor).  She is married with two daughters.
