Sherryl Pond has been practicing law since 1997 and concentrates her practice in immigration law. She began her interest in international exchange upon being awarded a Fulbright/DAAD scholarship, under which she studied in Germany in 1981 - 1982. She served on the faculty of Dartmouth College from 1985 - 1997. While practicing general business and civil litigation law in Rhode Island, she rekindled her interest in immigration through representing and counseling international students who wished to pursue permanent resident status.
She has since successfully represented employers and professionals in obtaining and maintaining employment based visas in all areas, including health care, hospitality, maritime, technology, and business, and national defense, among others. She represents couples in family-based petitions as well.
She is frequently sought after as a lecturer in immigration law and related issues for professional organizations. she has presented seminars for the Rhode Island Bar Association, payroll companies, CPA organizations, Chambers of Commerce and Hospitality and Tourism organizations and has appeared on numerous talk radio programs.
Mrs. Pond has served on numerous Boards of Directors for businesses and organizations. She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Newport County Chamber of Commerce
